Colleges’ awareness walk against Dengue
Lahore, More than 20 colleges walked against dengue fever from liberty crossing till Hussain Chowk. Colleges planed this walk for the awareness against dengue.
Colleges participated in this walk includes The participating colleges included Government MAO College Lahore, Government College University, Government College Civil Lines, Government Samanabad College, Government Islamia College, Government College for Women Cooper Road, Government College Wahdat Road and others.
Every college along with its administration, assembled 20 of its students and they carried banners in their hands and pamphlets containing information about the preventive measures to avoid the risk of dengue. They also repeated slogans to motivate people to fight against this epidemic disease. Walk started at 2 pm from liberty crossing and they moved slowly along the roadsides and distributed pamphlets among passersby.
Vice chancellor of MAO College said that it is the prime responsibility of students and educationists to answer a national call of duty and said that students worked with great responsibility and the way they treated patients at hospitals. The decision of the walk was taken at a meeting held under the chairmanship of MNA Sardar Ayaz Sadiq and members of Gulberg Town Lahore on September16.
